It was as if “the house” itself was like “NO little girl! I’m NOT letting you out. You are MINE!!!” The house was just not having it. The first couple attempts at leaving the house let Violet go out as far as the front gate, but as she continued to try to escape, the house would barely let her outside at all. As if to reign her in, and sort of communicate that IT was the boss!

Violet’s seeing her own body, and her crying just broke me heart. She really had no idea she did not survive her suicide attempt. Violet was my favorite character in season 1. With a lot of others coming in second and third. But I genuinely understood her. Such a sad sad scene, yet oddly addicting.
